The Council for the Progression and Guidance of Education selected the college for two world-wide awards in strategic communications.

The council received a Grand Gold award in the scholar-oriented electronic marketing campaign class for the university’s Mental Health and fitness Monday campaign and a Silver award for the university’s 8-bit world-wide-web launch video during the organization’s 2022 Circle of Excellence awards.

Rachel Putman, affiliate director of strategic communications, and Shandreka McCullough, course of 2021, who served as a communications college student assistant, created the marketing campaign and despatched hundreds of messages in reaction to its results.

The Mental Wellbeing Monday campaign applied interactive components developed into Instagram tales to engage right with students struggling with their mental overall health to share campus sources.

Putman claimed the university submitted certain university student responses to the Mental Health and fitness Monday campaign on Instagram.

When Putman educated McCullough of their award, she was pleasantly shocked.

“We have a student that has true earth working experience that they can use in their portfolio when they’re applying for a task,” he explained. “Now, Shandreka McCullough is really at the College of Central Arkansas pursuing a master’s degree. She has this incredible expertise carrying out actual tasks on a actual campus supporting true students with their psychological wellness.”
